Deception by Sian Ann Bessey. Published by Covenant Communications, Inc.

I love fiction. I do! I love fiction. Not only do you have a fascinating story - (and who doesn't love a good story?) but you always learn something along the way. In Deception, I learned about the cities and beauty of New Zealand, and a NMR machine - and what a NMR machine engineer does. I found it all fascinating and was glad I was able to learn so much from this book. Deception is suspenseful, a romance and is a wonderful ride from the very first page to the very last. If you learn best through stories - you will really enjoy this book.

"Immediately, Elizabeth was forced to acknowledge two things. First, the tall gangly youth she'd seen leave on a mission years before had indeed put on weight, but not the one hundred pounds of sedentary flab she'd imagined-more like twenty-five pounds of solid muscle. Second, Michael Royden no longer smelled of the dirt/dog/locker-room aroma he and her brother had perfected in their boyhood days-and she very much approved of his brand of aftershave."

Someone wants Elizabeth Clarke dead. And she doesn’t know who or why. This was supposed to be the assignment that would earn the attractive young engineer recognition in her male-dominated profession. But now Elizabeth is forced to search for safety in a strange land—a place where the only person she has known for more than a few hours is Michael Royden, her brother’s boyhood friend.

Michael no longer sees Elizabeth as a kid sister, and he’s going out of his way to make her stay in New Zealand unforgettable. And it will be—if she can survive.
