Rewind by Jeff Downs, published by Covenant Communications

What if you could do three things in your life over again—only better?

Scott Davis is frustrated with his middle-aged life. But suddenly he has been given an extraordinary gift—a second chance. Someone he knows only as the Guardian has granted him the ability to change his past—to revisit three events in his life and “correct” what he’s always believed to be his biggest mistakes. But soon Scott finds the consequences of his re-ordered life are far from what he expected.

"He brushed away a few remaining burs from the bush and considered how proud he was of his younger self. Little Scotty was demonstrationg a great deal of courage right now- more than he had shown at the time. After all, Scotty now actually knew what he was about to face, yet he was still walking toward it. And he had agreed to see it through. Would he?"

The first thing I noticed about this book is the length. It's 135 pages and I laughed, thinking that this book was too short to be of any interest. I was really wrong. It was short. This is true - but what a unique story! If you could go into your past and change some of your choices - would it affect who you are today? What a thought! I contemplated my own history and would I want to change things if I had the choice? I have put this book on my list of favorites and I have to recommend this as a must - read. I hope you enjoy it too.
