Peter Grant wasn’t looking for danger. In fact, he left the FBI after too much action, too many “need to know” conversations, too many secrets. Though the money isn’t anything to speak of, he relishes his part-time work with the agency that provides security for the General Authorites of the Church. It means a bit of travel, but it also means spending time with one of the Lord’s chosen leaders here on earth. It also leaves just enough spare time to have his own private investigation business on the side.
But when a biological attack in Italy forces the 2006 Winter Games back to Salt Lake City, and a routine murder investigation points to a known terrorist, all the lines start to blur. Can Peter put the pieces together in time to prevent a major terrorist incident in the heart of Temple Square?
I didn't realize that I read so many books written by women until I read this one. Don't get me wrong - I love reading books from either gender - but this book was so obviously from the male perspective that it made me laugh. I really enjoyed this book. It was fascinating, very well researched and quite clever. I also thought it was funny that the character in this book has a listening problem - which is the exact same issue I'm working on with my 5 year old son right now. Maybe Peter Grant needs a listening treat as a reward for when he is actually paying attention? All joking aside, I recommend this book to everyone who likes a good murder mystery. I hope to read many more books from this author in the future.
