There must be something wrong with the new branch president. Sunny Day hasn’t had a Church calling in twenty-one years, and now Jack “Mormon” Heath is asking her to be Relief Society President. It would take a miracle to do the job. And right now that’s just what is needed, because a stranger’s life desperately depends on Sunny’s decision.
Meanwhile, Kelli Carson has tried to bury her deep feelings of guilt by living unquestioningly in a tightly closed community. Now she has been chosen to marry a man she can never love, and knows she has to escape from the so-called Church of Faith. But where can she run?
Okay, you do need to know that this is a continuation of a previous story. It isn't quite a sequel- but more of a story with a few characters that you have previously met. At least, that's how I think it is supposed to be - since I haven't read the first book. But I didn't feel like I needed to read the first book to read this - there were definately spots where the author made reference to the previous story - but they were pretty rare and she explained what you needed to know so I really don't think you need to read the first book to read this one.
I also have to mention - what an interesting story line! This really intrigued me. Kelli Carson and Sunny Day have both had tragedies in their lives. They both are taking different paths trying to be at peace with themselves and they meet and help each other. There are cults, kidnappings, guns, romance, cowboys, horses, families, friends, food and weddings. What more could you possibly need? I hope you enjoy this book like I did.
