They've never been out on a date. They can barely speak a civil word to each other when they find themselves in the same room. But Aunt Bertie, who is not crazy, just -eccentric- knows that John and Ellie belong together, and she's doing all she can to further their cause. When Ellie comes to Colton Idaho, to spend the summer with Aunt Bertie and prove to her parents that her aunt doesn't belong in an assisted-care facility, the confusion begins. Bertie's determination to marry Ellie off to Dr. John Flynn leads to a hilarious string of miscommunications in this delightful romantic comedy.
Okay, first of all - this book has a GREAT kissing scene. I mean, it made my toes curl and my stomach drop and all the things that I really look for in a romance book. It's the kind of scene that you read three times in a row just because you enjoy it so much. Next, this story addresses a sensitive subject that most of us will have to face for someone that we love at some point in our lives. How long can a loved one live on their own? How do we determine when someone is eccentric or unable to care for themselves? Sierra St. James approaches this subject in a humorous and sensitive way. I really enjoyed the chaos that comes with the misunderstandings and miscommunication portrayed. Last of all, to finish off this interesting tale - make sure you read the "About the Author" section. It makes this author sound like all the rest of us and I would like to think that if we actually knew each other - we would be friends.
