In the Shadows by Lorraine Taylor, published by Covenant Communications

What a fun suspense story! I love curling up with a good book and being drawn into the mystery. This book fit that description. Bree Nelson has to raise her brother and sister when her parents pass away. She gets a job as a cook on a mountain ranch - a job that seems perfect for her and her family. Everyone on the ranch shows love and interest in their family and they feel like they have found a home.

Soon Bree becomes unsettled and then scared as she realizes that someone is stalking her. Then she has to fight for her life and the life of her family as terrifying events begin to occur.

"His smile reflected the pleasure he found in her words, but his countenance hid the wicked excitement building in his black heart. "You take all the time you need. Bree and I will be just fine."

The book is a up and down roller coaster ride. But what a ride! I recommend this to all those who love a good suspenseful story. It talks of faith, love, trust in the Lord and families. It is fun and I hope you aren't scared of the dark!
